When the Ice Melts
Climate change is melting the glaciers on top of the Himalayan mountains, faster than ever. Unable to store this melting water, most of the villagers of Kulum, Ladakh, have had to abandon their ancestral lands due to prolonged droughts. Hope comes in the form of a Ladakhi engineer who comes up with an ingenious idea to store water from these quickly melting glaciers. But his invention is far from perfect and if nothing is done to mitigate climate change, the lives of these villagers and millions living downstream in Asia will change forever.
