World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated globally each year on 5th June. The theme of 2020 WED is "Biodiversity". As part of the 2020 WED celebrations Siddharth Kak, Founder/Trustee Surabhi Foundation is organising a webinar on 'COVID-19 Pandemic and the Role of the World Biosphere Reserves'. The Webinar is being inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India Shri Prakash Javadekar. 

This Webinar series would continue through June 9th, 12th, 16th & 19th in association with UNESCO, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India, WWF India, TERI and the National Biodiversity Authority of India. 

Jyothy Karat will participate as Panellist in the webinar on `Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve’ scheduled on Friday 12th June, 2020 at 11.00 am.
