I suppose I was entertaining unrealistic expectations for the shows. I was half expecting to see something original. Perhaps I was wrong to do so. But you get the drift. The Bangalore Fashion Week Summer/Winter/Whatever was, well, blah.

To be fair, this was my first fashion week (I was giving company to my fashion-photographer-friend Kunal Basu). Sure I kept myself entertained! Apart from watching amateur Indian models trip over designer gowns and sarees, there was also that satire playing out in the form of middle aged men and women trying too hard, too late, to look young and hip. And of course, one could not possibly miss some very awkward Caucasian models making complete fools of themselves on the ramp. Dear World! What have you come to!
