wong kar wai was making ashes of time
and he realized he couldnt get the movie done

and he didnt have money
so he took some time off
made a very cheap film in a short time period
before he got back to ashes
that film be called chunking express.

“did he make that movie? in the end?”

yep

but it wasnt as great as chunking.

Ideas are all that will remain..
